LISA M. MACDONALD 11/15/58 - 06/06/2022
MacDonald, Lisa M. (Favreau) of Woburn, MA., died unexpectedly, June 2, 2022. Beloved wife of Stephen C. MacDonald. Daughter of Gloria Favreau (Rocco) of Clearwater, FL. and the late Dennis Favreau. Sister of Dennis Favreau Jr. and his wife Wendy of Clearwater, FL., Erik Favreau and his wife Nicole of Clearwater, FL., and the late Michael Favreau. Niece of Bobby and Tricia Rocco of Brighton, MA, Peter Rocco of Connecticut, and Linda and Bob Marshalton of Maine. Sister-in law of Lee MacDonald of Woburn, MA, Jeanne Haskell of Worchester MA, and Jeanne Goodall of Paxton, MA. Loving Aunt of Kaitlyn, David, Meghan, Dave, Emerson, Dawn, Diane, Matthew and Ericka. She is also survived by her dear friend, Elise Johnson of Wakefield, MA. and by many nieces and nephews.
Lisa grew up and lived in Watertown where she attended school. After graduating Lisa went on to waitress at the F&T in Cambridge where she met the love of her life Stephen who worked at TRW nearby. He swept her off her feet and a year later they married and moved to Woburn where Lisa resided until her death.
Lisa attended Elm Brook Place a community for individuals with disabilities. She was the chef's assistant in the kitchen and later transitioned into an office assistant type role. She met many friends and acquaintances there and attended many events sponsored by "The Club" as affectionally referred to by members.
In her spare time Lisa and Stephen enjoyed all kinds of adventures and travels with Lisa's father and mother -in law, Pat and Charlie MacDonald. They travelled the winding roads of the Kancamagus Highway in NH, stopping at the Clark Trading Post and the like. They explored the wildlife at the Roger Williams and Stone Zoos and viewed gorillas and other exotic animals. They went on whale watches and ate fried clams at Woodman's after. They vacationed in the Sebago Lakes Region in Maine for many years. Later Lisa and Steve settled in to "their" cottage on Panther Pond in Raymond Maine with Auntie Lee. They had a lot of fun with their friends and neighbors Jim and Ellie Hurley, Red and Nadie Erskin and all their kids. There was always marshmallow fights and contests to see who could catch the biggest fish. Attendance at Caso Days was an annual event and 4 th of July was the celebration of the year with boat parades and yummy barbeques where everyone took to singing and telling jokes. You could hear the laughter around the lake. Who knew Lisa could belt out a tune and her signature song was Green Acres! She always said she wanted to be a comedian in life and would stand up and tell jokes and they were funny.
When not in Maine, Lisa and Steve enjoyed Thanksgiving at Foxwoods and Christmas at a friend's Chinese food restaurant with her "sisters", Jeanne, Lee, Jean and their kids.
You also could find Steve and Lisa at a couple of their favorite restaurants, Woodman's in Essex, MA. which also meant a visit to her Uncle Bobby's and Aunt Tricia's cottage in Essex and Grassfield's in Waltham, MA.
Lisa was a kind and generous sole and had a big heart as well as a wicked sense of humor. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
