Healey, Lois Ann (Nicholson) 95 of Lexington, sadly passed from this life on May 10,

2023. She was the beloved wife of the late Albert J. Healey. Loving mother of Katherine

Eldridge and her husband David of Lutherville, MD, Michael T. Healey and his wife

Pamela of Lexington, Dennis J. Healey of Lexington, Mary J. Boudreau and her

husband Mark of Arlington, Paul F. Healey of Woburn, and the late Mark D. Healey of

Kennebunk, Maine. Lois was the devoted daughter of the late Michael T. and Mary

Nicholson and cherished sister of the late Jean Nicholson. She is also survived by six

adoring grandchildren, Christopher, Patrick, Tara, Kyle, Kevin, and Brian and by eight

great grandchildren, Noelle, Maddox, Oliver, Cyrus, Austin, Emersyn, Mila, and Clara.

Lois also had many dear nieces, nephews, and extended family, as well as many loving

and supporting friends whom she cared for deeply.

Born on November 23, 1927, in Malden, Lois was a graduate of Malden High School

(1945) and graduated from the University of Maine Orono (1949). She attended the

Juilliard School - Performing Arts Conservatory (1949) and Boston University (1949-

1951). She was a member of the Sacred Heart Choir for 55 years (1960 – 2015) and

thoroughly enjoyed singing in many churches throughout the Boston diocese.

Lois dedicated her life to children, starting as a second-grade teacher in the Malden

school system (1949–1951). After raising six children, Lois became one of the founding

staff members in the LABBB Educational Collaborative who provide support services for

students with a variety of special needs including students with autism spectrum and

students with multi-handicaps. This was an endeavor of love for Lois for over 23 years

(1974-1997). She continued to "teach" by example even when not in the classroom.

Anyone who was lucky enough to meet her learned many of life's lessons by just being

around her.

Lexington Wednesday May 17, at 9:00 am followed by a Mass of Christian burial at

Sacred Heart Church, Lexington at 10:00 am. Visiting hours will be Tuesday from 4:00

pm to 7:00 pm. Relatives and friends are kindly invited.
