Obituary

Rolincik, M. Dorothy (Gossard), a longtime resident of Lexington, MA, died February 20, 2017 in her home at the age of 84. She is survived by her beloved husband of 55 years, Paul G. Rolincik, Jr., daughter Laura Cotter and husband Thomas of Franklin, MA,  Paul G. III and wife Annie of Wellesley, MA, and  Mark and wife Lavonne of Fairfax, VA.   Loving grandmother/Baba of 10 grandchildren:    Kevin, Katie and Karyn Cotter; Jessica, Kylie, Michael and Brian Rolincik; Carley, Luke and Sean Rolincik.  Loving sister of Ralph Gossard and his late wife Patricia of Holland, PA.  She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and supportive neighbors. Dorothy was born and reared in Altoona, PA and was a graduate of The College of New Rochelle, NY, 1954 and Katherine Gibbs One-Year Secretarial Course in Boston, MA, 1955.  She worked as secretary to the customer engineering manager of IBM Corporation in Boston, MA, executive secretary to the President of Wasau Insurance CO., Philadelphia, PA and executive secretary to the President of Gimbels Department Store, Philadelphia, PA. She was an active member of St. Brigid's Parish in Lexington, MA where she taught CCD for eight years and assisted her husband with the Folk Mass singing group.  She also enjoyed teaching piano in her home for many years.   Dorothy was a spiritual woman who found comfort in her relationship with The Holy Spirit, or "HS" as she would call him.  She was dedicated to raising her children and supporting her grandchildren's passions and education.  Her family meant the world to her and she was so proud of them all. Funeral from the Douglass Funeral Home, 51 Worthen Rd. Lexington Saturday February 25 at 9am followed by a Mass of Christian burial at St. Brigid Church, Lexington at 10am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours Friday from 6pm to 8pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Christian Appalachian Project, P.O. Box 55911, Lexington, KY  40555-5911. Interment Westview Cemetery, Lexington.
