Manoranjitham (Ranji) SriKanthan, age 72, of Winchester, MA passed away peacefully after long illness surrounded by family on July 30, 2026. She was the beloved wife of Thillaiampalam Srikanthan, the loving mother of Shivanthy and her husband, Dermot, and the adoring grandmother of Adam, Nisha, and Mia Gately. Ranji was the devoted sister of Puvirajasingham Ponnudurai,  Jeyarajasingham Ponnudurai, Gunarajasingham Ponnudurai, Suhirtham Rutnam, Punitham Singanayagam, Vijeyarajasingham Ponnudurai, Romala Ranjit, Shermila Clarke, Ronald Ponnudurai. She is also lovingly remembered by her many sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews.

Married at age 19, Ranji came to the United States with her husband in 1973 and went on to build a beautiful life filled with love, hard work, and devotion. She shared 53 wonderful years with her beloved husband and daughter. She worked at John Hancock Mutual Life Company for 45 years, taking great pride in her career as she progressed from secretary to insurance analyst.

Ranji was happiest when caring for others. She loved treating family and friends to her delicious meals, always making sure no one left her home without eating something. She gave herself unconditionally to those she knew and was endlessly selfless, always caring for others before herself.

Funeral Services on Thursday, August 6th at 8 am at the Douglass Funeral Home, 51 Worthen Rd. Lexington. Please note: A livestream presentation will begin at 8:00 am EST for remote viewing.
