Obituary

Margaret “Peggy” E. Ouellette (McQuaid) of Bedford, formerly of Lexington, died on October 3, 2026. Daughter of the late Ellen and Hugh McQuaid, beloved wife of the late Henry L. Ouellette. Loving mother of John Ouellette and his wife, Jennifer of Arlington; Christopher Ouellette and his wife, Leslie of Arlington, and Michelle R. Ouellette of Arlington. Devoted sister of the late Ellen Maloney and her late husband Kevin and the late Hugh “Sonny” McQauid. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren, Meghan, Jack, Kevin, and Ryan, and by a niece, Ellen Ann Maloney.

Peggy was married to her beloved husband, Henry “Hank,” for 50 years until his passing. Together, they built a their life in Lexington MA, where they raised their 3 children. As a devoted wife, mother and grandmother she also made lifelong friends where she lived for 60 years. Peggy worked at LABBB in Lexington for over 20 years, and when retired, she was elected to Town Council in Lexington. Peggy had an unwavering faith and was a devoted member of Sacred Heart Parish for over 60 years. Peggy was also a devoted friend and maintained friendships throughout her life and treasured the people who had been part of her journey such as the Rommells and Aitkens. Above all, Peggy had an unwavering love for her children, grandchildren, family, and friends, and will be remembered for her love of life and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Funeral from the Douglass Funeral Home, 51 Worthen Rd., Lexington, Friday, October 9th at 9am, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Sacred Heart Church, Lexington, at 10am. Visiting hours at the funeral home Thursday from 4pm to 7pm. Relatives and friends are kindly invited.

Interment at Westview Cemetery in Lexington.
