Kmiec, Margaret T. (Fitzgerald) of Lexington, September 1, 2022. Beloved wife of the late Walter A. Kmiec. Daughter of the late John Fitzgerald and Sarah (O'Connell) Fitzgerald. Loving mother of Christopher J. Kmiec of Sandwich and Pamela A. Kmiec of Cambridge. Devoted sister of the late John Fitzgerald, Florence Farese, Rosalie Roth, Mary Fitzgerald, Elizabeth Carota, and Sally Davis. She is also survived by 2 grandchildren, Caroline and Rebecca, and by many nieces and nephews.

Graduate of LHS where she played on the women's basketball and tennis teams. Peggy stayed very close with her sisters all of her life as well as numerous special lifelong friends. She loved figure skating, swimming, knitting, dressmaking, baking and cooking.  Gracious and loving, she stayed active her whole life and kept those around her active as well.

Funeral from the Douglass Funeral Home, 51 Worthen Rd. Lexington Wednesday Sept. 7 at 9am followed by a Mass of Christian burial at St. Brigid Church, Lexington at 10am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours Tuesday from 4pm to 7pm. Donations in her memory may be made to Catholic Relief Services at CRS.org. Interment Westview Cemetery, Lexington.
