MARIE C. GALLOWAY, of Acton, MA (formerly of Lexington, MA) passed away on Monday, January 31, 2022, surrounded by family.  Marie was born and raised in Lexington, MA.  She attended Matignon HS (Cambridge, MA) and Northeastern University.  After her time working at the Deaconess Hospital in Boston, MA, Marie spent her time raising six children with her beloved and predeceased husband of 49 years, Jim. Marie spread her joy for life working as the Meals on Wheels coordinator in Lexington and as a loyal employee of the Crafty Yankee in Lexington center.  She was an active member in the parish of Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted in Waltham, MA.  Marie is survived by sons James (Erin) of Lexington, MA, Paul of Waltham, MA and daughters Julie of Carlisle, MA, Claire (Mark) McCarthy of Acton, MA and Carol (Paul) Coradeschi of Belmont, MA.  Her second eldest son, Brian, preceded her in death in July 2017.  Marie is also survived by ten beloved grandchildren.  Funeral arrangements by Douglass Funeral Home (51 Worthen Road, Lexington, MA 02421).  A wake will be held on Monday, February 7 ^th , 2022 with calling hours from 4:00-7:00 PM.  Marie's life will be celebrated with a Funeral Mass at Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted (920 Trapelo Road, Waltham, MA 02452) on Tuesday, February 8 ^th , 2022 at 11:00 AM – Procession from the Funeral Home @ 10:30 AM.
