Obituary

JOERGER, Marjorie Anne (Johnson) 82, of Nashua, NH, formerly of Lexington, MA, died Dec. 6, 2010 at St. Joseph's Hospital. Born Jan. 7, 1928 in Hamden, CT, she was the daughter of Harry J. Johnson and Edith R. Luppi. On June 4, 1955 she married Jerome Joseph Joerger. Marjorie graduated from Hamden High School in 1945. In 1949 she earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from Skidmore College. She worked for G. Fox and Co. in journalism and advertising as well as other companies. Marjorie worked for years as a travel agent in Lexington and enjoyed traveling with her husband, Jerry. Over her lifetime Marjorie was active in numerous organizations including: Symmes Hospital Auxiliary, Lexington Republican Women's Club, Prospector's Ski Club, and the Lexington Golf Club. Marjorie is survived by her two children and their spouses, including her daughter and son-in-law: Karen and Mark Avery of Nashua; and a son and daughter in law: Eric and Marie Joerger of Hollis. Sister of Enid Manfreda of CT, Harry Johnson Jr. of CT, and the late Kathleen Loring. Surviving grandchildren are Mark and Leanne Avery, Kristen and Stephanie Joerger, Mason and Taylor Chepulis. Funeral from the Douglass Funeral Home, 51 Worthen Rd., LEXINGTON, Saturday, Dec. 11 at 9am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Eulalia Church, 50 Ridge St., Winchester at 10am. relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours Friday from 3pm to 7pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in memory of Marjorie Joerger to St. Joseph's Hospital Nursing Department, C/O Pam Deschene, 172 Kinsley St., Nashua, NH 03061. Interment Westview Cemetery, Lexington.
