Modoono, Marjorie R. (Murphy) of Lexington, on January 11, 2023, age 100 years. Beloved wife of the late Edward "Babe" Modoono for 72 years. Born in Malden, she was the daughter of the late William and Lydia (Spinney) Murphy. Loving mother of John Modoono and his partner Linda Tremblay of Wakefield, Carol Hemming and her husband Richard of Bristol, CT, William Modoono and his wife Mary of Pittsburgh, PA, Edward "Jody" Modoono and his wife Mary of Lexington, and Kenneth Barron of Centerville. She was predeceased by her son, Edward Peter Modoono. Devoted sister of the late Victor, Russell, and Aubrey Murphy. Loving grandmother to 8 grandchildren: Jason, Kimberly, Brian; Emily, Jesse, Elizabeth; Andrea and Anthony. She is also survived by 15 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Marjorie was a volunteer driver for the American Red Cross, a member of St. Brigid's Women's Club, a Lexington precinct election warden, and an avid Red Sox Fan. She was devoted to her family and she enjoyed many activities, including gardening, sewing, cooking, and crafts.

Funeral from the Douglass Funeral Home, 51 Worthen Rd. Lexington Wednesday January 18 ^th at 9am followed by a Mass of Christian burial at St. Brigid Church, Lexington at 10am. Visiting hours Tuesday from 4pm to 7pm. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Donations in her memory may be made to the charity of your choice. Interment Westview Cemetery, Lexington.
