Jones, Mary Louise (Rose) 98 of Lexington, August 23, 2024. The daughter of the late Frank D. and Mary E (Stever) Rose .

Mary loved moving to music, dancing her way through life.  Mary danced in the USO shows during WWII and the senior Tappers of Thelma Goldberg's dance troupe , performing all around Massachusetts.  Mary tap danced right up to the age of 90 till she was no longer able.

Mary married the love of her life, the late Gerald W. Jones of Lexington in July of 1949 , where they made their forever home  proudly raising their 6 children.  Mary is the loving mother of Gerald Jones Jr. and his wife Deborah of Abington, Paul Jones and his wife Leslee of Lexington, Marilyn Jones of Haverhill, Elaine Skaff and her husband Frederick of Haverhill, Robert Jones and his wife Susan of Billerica, and Janice Sortino and her husband Charles of Ayer. Devoted sister of the late Frank, Clifford, Gerald, Donald, and Gordon Rose. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

The family of Mary Jones  would like to thank the medical team and staff of the High Pointe Hospice House,  Haverhill Mass,  for the outstanding end of life care given to our mother. The compassion, kindness , love and dignity extended to our mother and entire family did not go unnoticed.

A Funeral Service will be held Wednesday August 28 at the Douglass Funeral Home, 51 Worthen Rd. Lexington. Visitation hours will begin at 10:00 AM followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Donations in her memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Interment Westview Cemetery, Lexington.
