Lania, Mary M. (Conway) of Lexington, July 1, 2022. Beloved wife of the late A. Richard Lania. Loving mother of Scott Lania and his wife Doreen of Concord, NH, Brian Lania and his late wife Sheila of Lincoln, RI, Mark Lania and his wife Mary of Westwood, Gregg Lania and his partner Karen of Watertown, and Erik Lania and his wife Diane of Walpole. Devoted sister of Clarita Conway of Reading, and William and wife Lucie Conway of Hampton Falls, NH. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, Wendy, Katie, Richard, Anthony, Robert, Nicole, Benjamin, Jake, and Ryan, by 1 great grandchild, Freya.

Mary was very politically active initially working to improve the Watertown schools, then working on the campaign of Jim Shannon for Congress.  She worked for the Unitarian Universalist Services Committee for twenty-four years as the international program director helping support human rights.  She traveled to India, Africa, Caribbean and Central and South America supporting the organizations cause.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held Saturday July 9th at Saint Brigid Church, 1981 Mass. Ave. Lexington at 10am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours at the Douglass Funeral Home, 51 Worthen Rd. Lexington Friday from 4pm to 7pm.
