Mary L. Schussler, 85, of Lexington, MA passed away on April 1, 2024 after a sudden and short bout with ovarian cancer. Mary was surrounded by her children and grandchildren in her final days. Mary was the beloved wife of the late Fenris Schussler.

Mary was born and grew up in Arlington, MA. Her parents, Sarah and Thomas Wilson, moved to Arlington from Scotland. Mary was one of nine children. After graduating from Arlington High School, Mary married and moved to Lexington, where she and her first husband Joe raised their four children.

Eventually Mary returned to work after being a stay-at-home mom. She worked at IBM as an Administration Manager and it was there, years later, she met her husband, Fen.

Mary and Fen had a wonderful life, spending much of their time with their children and many grandchildren. They lived in Connecticut, eventually moving back to Massachusetts to be closer to family, and bought a second home in Ludlow, VT. They spent many good times skiing Okemo mountain with their family and friends, as well as joining the Okemo Golf Club.

Mary and Fen moved to Magnolia Greens in Leland, NC, where they enjoyed their favorite hobby, golf. Mary played in many golf leagues, enjoyed Bridge and Mahjong, and was a Red Hat Society member, as well as participated in many activities. She and Fen traveled to Massachusetts often for holidays and beach vacations, as well as to Arkansas to spend time with family. Family also made numerous trips to visit them at their beautiful home on the golf course in warm and sunny coastal North Carolina.

At Magnolia Greens, Mary and Fen had many friends, as well as family, in their development. They would often travel around the world with these family and friends to many beautiful and exciting places.

Mary is predeceased by her loving husband, Fenris (Fen) Schussler. She is survived by her children: Jeanne Marie Church of Merrimack, NH, Joanne Lyttle of Lexington, MA, Joseph J. Paragona, Jr. of Ludlow, VT, Jayne Paragona of Waltham, MA and Dana (Rob) Garrison of Little Rock, AK. Mary was a wonderful grandmother to her many grandchildren.
