Simeone, Mary C. (DeFederico) died peacefully on Dec. 17, 2010 at the de Rahm Hospice Home in Cambridge, MA. A Lexington resident and a St. Brigid's Church member for 55 years, Mary was an honorary member of the St. Brigid's Women's Club and the Sodality and a volunteer for FISH. Mary and her late husband Dominic moved from West Medford to Lexington in 1954 and remained there for the duration of their lifetimes. Mary was an excellent homemaker and devoted to her family. In 2006 Mary moved into Youville Place in Lexington as an independent resident and remained there living happily until October 2010. Mary leaves a daughter Elaine Pace and her husband Dan of Martha's Vineyard, MA, and a son Robert Simeone and his wife Barbara of Greenland, NH. She also leaves five grandchildren: Ryan Pace of Brookline, MA; Tanya Prickitt of Ambler, PA; Jeff Simeone of Stratham, NH, Rebecca Barclay of winchester, MA, and Bethany McIver of Stratham, NH, and their spouses Amy Pace, Jeff Prickitt, Chris Barclay,Tracy Simeone, and Ryan McIver. Mary was blessed with four great grandchildren: Mary Simeone, Cora Barclay, Jack McIver, and Lucas Simeone. Funeral from the Douglass Funeral Home, 51 Worthen Rd. Lexington Monday Dec. 20 at 9am followed by a Mass of Christian burial at St. Brigid Church, Lexington at 10am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours Sunday from 3pm to 5pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to VNA Care Network and Hospice or to the Youville Place Resident Activities Fund will be gratefully received.
