MaryLou Ogonowsky

July 5, 1937 - January 21, 2025

MaryLou Ogonowsky (Keane) 87, recently of Burlington, MA, formerly of Medford and Somerville, MA, passed away on January 21, 2025.  MaryLou was born in Marlborough, MA, and was the daughter of the late Louis and Gemma (Perini) Pacific of Somerville, MA.  She was the wife of the late Philip Keane.

MaryLou is survived by her daughter, Kim Eudenbach of Billerica, MA and her son, Kris Ogonowsky of Boston, MA, her grandchildren Amanda Kelley, Ashley Bergquist and her partner Dave Thibeau, Jennifer Ogonowsky and her husband Rugo Santini, Nicholas, Jacqueline, Joseph, and Julia Ogonowsky, her great-grandchildren Dylan Thibeau, Aurora Kelley, Jax and Siena Santini.  MaryLou will also be missed by her nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

Having a great sense of style, MaryLou always coordinated her clothes with accessories and her nails.  Everything matched! Each holiday her outfit would also include Santa hats, colorful bulb necklaces, shamrock hats, etc.  She loved holidays with her family, but especially enjoyed the food! Every night, she cooked a different meal. She took pride in her cooking.

MaryLou loved to dance, travel, talk, and shop. Through the years, she met many people selling Decorama and World Gift products.  Her personality led her to achieve success and win many awards for her sales.  At different points, she owned and operated a diner, Krazy Egg kitchen in Quincy and owned a Greyhound farm in Taunton.  Later in life, she worked for the MA Dept of Revenue.

Graduating from Somerville High School class of 1955, she enjoyed working on her class reunions.  Many of her classmates remained friends throughout the years.

Marrying a second time in her 70s to Philip Keane, they enjoyed traveling and vacationing in picturesque places in the US, Caribbean and Europe. They even rode camels! Phil passed away in April of last year.  It is comforting to know they will be together again.

Services will be held at Douglass Funeral Home, 51 Worthen Rd. Lexington, MA, on Saturday, Feb. 1st @ 9:30am.  Burial will follow at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, 185 Lake St., Peabody, MA.
