Obituary

BOBO, Michael James of Wellesley, MA, formerly of Longview, TX died February 24, 2024. Beloved husband of Casey (Hagerman) for 28 years, he was a devoted father to his three sons, Jake, Luke, and Mac. Son of Keith and Barbara Bobo and brother of Matt Bobo and Mikki Bobo Funderburk, he leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories that will forever be treasured by those who were fortunate enough to know him.

Mike was born in Dallas, Texas, where he spent his early years surrounded by the warmth of family and friends. He pursued higher education at Dartmouth College, where he not only excelled academically but also on the football field under the mentorship of Buddy Teevens, may he also rest in eternal peace. It was during his time at Dartmouth that he met the love of his life, Casey, with whom he shared an unbreakable bond of love and companionship.

After graduating, Mike joined Procter & Gamble in sales where he would continue his long career of 31 years. He and Casey were married at Dartmouth in 1996 and welcomed their first son, Jake, while residents of the great city of Dallas, TX in 1998. In 2000, they returned to the Northeast to raise their family in North Andover where Casey worked. As the family settled into boarding school life, they soon welcomed Luke and Mac in 2002 and 2003 respectively. With these three arrows in his quiver, Mike continued his commitment to work, family, faith, and friends. He, Casey and the boys were very involved with Lawrence Pop Warner Football, Andover Free Christian Church and Mike even spent some time coaching Brooks Football and Softball.

Above all else, Mike cherished the time spent with his family and friends. His kind and generous spirit, coupled with his quick wit and infectious laughter, lit up every room he entered. He will be remembered for his unwavering love, his captivating smile, and his genuine kindness towards others.

In honoring Mike's life, let us remember the love he shared, the joy he brought, and the legacy of kindness he leaves behind. His spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

A celebration of Mike's life will be held on March 9, 2024 at 11am at Grace Chapel, 59 Worthen Road, Lexington, MA. May he rest in peace, knowing he was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed.
