Ioanna, Michael Anthony of Arlington, died on June 19, 2025 surrounded by his family. Beloved son of Anthony W. Ioanna of Bedford, NH and the late Rose L. (Azzalino) Ioanna and beloved step-son of Nikki Ioanna. Nephew of Frank and Shirley Ioanna of Palm Bay, FL, Loretta Norcross of Saugus, and cousin of Maria Lloyd of Reading. He is also survived by 4 cousins, Kristin, Jennifer, Karen, and Karol.

Michael received a bachelor's degree in Journalism from North Adam's State College in MA, class of 1983. He became a Tech. Writer at Raytheon. His passion was to be a sports writer. He loved playing sports at a younger age with his dad. He was an avid Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots fan.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held Thursday June 26 at St. Brigid Church, 1984 Mass. Ave. Lexington at 11am. Visitation immediately prior to the Mass at the Douglass Funeral Home, 51 Worthen Rd. Lexington from 9:30am to 10:45am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Donations in his memory may be made to the MSPCA  Animal Care and Adoption Center, 350 S. Huntington Ave., Jamaica Plain, MA 02130. Interment Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Arlington.
