Michael Moran, 65, of Lexington, Massachusetts, passed away at home on August 4, 2025.

Michael was born May 21, 1960 in Rochester, New York, the son of Gerry F. Moran and Irvonne (Harris) Moran. He had two sisters, Kyle and Kymberly. He graduated from Weston High School in Weston, Massachusetts, in 1978, where he was captain of the football, basketball, and baseball teams. He then attended Dartmouth College, where he played on the varsity football team and earned a bachelor's degree in Economics in 1982.

Michael married Madeline Shaw on July 29, 1990 at the Crane Estate in Ipswich, Massachusetts. Together they had three children, Sydney, Troy, and Nathan and raised their family in Lexington, Massachusetts.

Michael was an avid cyclist, having ridden across the United States as well as in the Alps and Pyrenees in France. He rode almost every day with his close-knit group of cycling friends. His interests and hobbies also included history, Boston sports, taking classes on Shakespeare, walking the family dogs, and traveling with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Madeline and his three children, Sydney, Troy, and Nathan.

Michael will be remembered for his kindness, wit and humor, youthful energy, and selfless devotion to his family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 10, from 3 to 6 PM, and funeral services will be held on Monday, August 11, at 1 PM, both at Douglass Funeral Home in Lexington.
