CAVALLO, Nathaniel R. "Nate" Of Lexington, passed away Wednesday, December 9, 2015 after a courageous 4 year battle with pediatric cancer. He was born April 21, 2001 in Boston, MA to James Cavallo and Nicole Abair. He attended the Lexington public schools and was a freshman at Lexington High School. Nate was a self described optimist, a bright and joyful young man whose passion for life was not deterred by his illness. He was a talented artist with an eye for things beautiful. Nate loved celebrating holidays and took great joy in making plans and bringing the people he loved together. Intrigued by science from a very young age, Nate planned to be a doctor and spoke often about the specialties he might pursue. He loved all things nature particularly marine life, bonsai, and the many birds that frequented his backyard. Music played a big role in Nate's life and he played piano and guitar and had an extensive, eclectic music collection. Nate was an incredibly kind, generous, and loving young man whose deep affection for his family was unwavering. He will be remembered always for his grace and faith and indomitable courage. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his twin sister Alexis and younger brother Bennett, both at home. He also leaves his paternal grandparents, James and Joan Cavallo of Ludlow, MA; and his maternal grandparents, Louis and Jeanne Gravelin of Dennis, MA; as well as many uncles, aunts, cousins, dear friends and his dog Toby. Visiting hours will be held at Saint Brigid Church, 2001 Massachusetts Avenue, Lexington, on Sunday, December 13th from 2:00 - 6:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, December 14th at Saint Brigid Church at 10:00 am. Relatives and friends kindly invited to attend.
