Arbeene, Neva M. (Olivieri) of Lexington, November 8, 2024. Beloved wife of the late Norman C. Arbeene. Loving mother of Richard C. Arbeene and his wife Joyce of Newport, OR, and Charles N. Arbeene and his wife Nancy of Westford. Sister of predeceased three brothers and two sister. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren, Bradford, Christopher, Amy, and Rebecca, by 5 great grandchildren, Saylor, Sophie, Sam, Ireland, Parker and by many nieces and nephews.

Neva was born in Pisa, Italy on February 13, 1929 and as a young woman met her future husband Norman while he was stationed in Italy during WWll.   Neva became a "war bride", traveling by boat to the United States, settling first in Somerville then Lexington where they raised their two sons. The Arbeene home became a warm and welcoming place for so many families, friends and neighbors. After Norman's passing Neva continued her kindness to all those she met. Young or old were always invited to visit, talk and sample some of her famous Italian cuisine.  She was well known in the community for her years as a cafeteria worker in the Lexington Public Schools.

Funeral Home Visiting hours on Wednesday November 13 from 5pm to 7pm. Relatives and friends are kindly invited.

Funeral from the Douglass Funeral Home, 51 Worthen Rd. Lexington Thursday November 14 at 9am followed by a Mass of Christian burial at St. Brigid church, Lexington at 10am. Interment Westview Cemetery, Lexington.
