Noel M. Jack, GONE but never Forgotten

Sunrise Christmas Day, 12/25/1950- Sunset 4/25/2025

On Christmas Day December 25th, 1950, Noel Matthew Emmanuel Jack was born in San Juan, Trinidad to Clarence Lewis Jack and Dorothy Octavia Jack

Noel traveled from Trinidad to Washington, DC to further his studies at Howard University. There, he met and married his wife Lillian Louise Baker (Jack) also a student. Out of this marital union was born His Beloved daughter Krystal Octavia (Caleb Prescott).

Exceptional accomplishments marked Noel's academic journey. At Howard University, he excelled by earning a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering and two Master's degrees, MS and MBA.

After graduating in Washington, DC, Noel joined his wife in Newark, DE, and began his Engineering career at E. I. Dupont DE Nemours and Company. Following several years working in Newark, DE. Noel and his family relocated to Tallahassee, FL, seeking a change in climate and new job opportunities.

Noel was employed as an engineer by the State of Florida, in addition to being an adjunct professor at FAMU. Later, after moving from Tallahassee to South Florida, he taught at Miami Dade College and Barry University. There many students thrived under his tutoring -enjoyed and loved him

Upon moving to Miami, Noel later met and married Brenda Jack, Attorney at Law where he later resided in Fort Lauderdale

Noel's dedication to his studies and professional growth was evident throughout his life. His journey from Trinidad to the United States was driven by a desire to excel and make meaningful contributions to the field of civil engineering. His academic achievements were a testament to his perseverance and intellect. He enjoyed teaching and it became his way of giving back.

As the sixth of eight siblings, Noel grew up as charming, loving, intelligent, and kind. As a teenager, He excelled in all areas amongst his peers and became a progressive and successful young man.

Noel loved soccer, loved to eat, and had an extremely healthy appetite (we always wondered where the food was going). Most of all he loved people and started and fostered great friendships wherever he went. He would speak to anyone he met along the way and was always open for joyful and pleasant conversation. He was funny and made you laugh even when you may not want to.

Noel's thirst for knowledge was insatiable. He was just one defending paper away from obtaining his Ph.D. in Miami before his illness started and he had to pull away prematurely.

He fought long and hard to overcome his illness, having to move to Massachusetts for choice health care.

Noel's resilience and fortitude in life were a result of him deliberately not harboring the negative but always seeking solutions, giving advice, and keeping a bright and positive outlook in every situation.

On the evening of April 25th, 2025 he succumbed in peaceful transition.

He leaves to cherish and celebrate his life, his daughter Krystal Jack Prescott (Caleb), Lilian Louise, his brothers Anthony, "Frank" (Angelia), sisters Barbara Baird, and Cynthia Jack, in-law Patricia Jack, "his darling" Brenda Jack, (15) nephews and nieces, a host of relatives and friends both at home and abroad.

We shall miss Noel, his countenance, his infectious laugh, and consuming humor, his love, forgiveness, kindness, and caring have been a life lesson to everyone.

May God grant him a sweet rest for his soul.

Visiting hours will be held Friday May 2 at the Douglass Funeral Home, 51 Worthen Rd. Lexington from 3pm to 6pm. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Private interment Forest Hills Cemetery in Jamaica Plain, Boston.
