Bertozzi, Norma Gloria (née Berringer ), a long-time resident of Lexington, MA,  died peacefully Saturday October 16 at the age of 88;  beloved wife of William Bertozzi.

She graduated from Belmont High School in 1950, where she was a member of the National Honor Society and was elected as an honorary member of the Belmont Women's Club.  She received an Associate's Degree from Boston University in 1952.   She received a Bachelor's degree in French (cum laude) from Wellesley College in 1998 as a Davis Scholar.  Norma worked for the MIT Physics Department before raising her three children.  Her family was always the light of her life, including her husband, children, grandchildren and family pets.    She played tennis in her youth and was a long time fan of the Boston Red Sox and the Boston Celtics. Some of her favorite activities were listening to Pavarotti at the Hatch Shell, digging for clams, and doing sudoku and crossword puzzles.  She is survived by her husband of 65 years, William Bertozzi; her daughter Andrea Bertozzi and her husband Bradley Koetje; her daughter Carolyn Bertozzi and her wife Jen Bertozzi and their children Josh, Adam, and Noah; and her daughter Diana Bertozzi Hindermann and her husband Mark Hindermann and their children Anna and Jack.  She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday Oct. 21 from 4-7 pm at the Douglass Funeral Home, 51 Worthen Rd. Lexington.
