Patricia Elen Costello, Sept. 27, 1936 – Jan. 6, 2025, originally from Chicago, Illinois, was a graduate of St. Mary's College, Notre Dame, Indiana, in 1958, with a B.A. in English.  Shortly after graduation, she commenced her career with Honeywell, which ultimately led her to relocate to Massachusetts, where she would eventually retire.

As a long-time resident of Lexington, Massachusetts, Patricia dedicated her retirement years to community involvement. Over the course of more than two decades, she dedicated her time to the Lexington Visitor Center and the Lexington Historical Society. More recently she shared her time and knowledge with the local non-profit, LexSeeHer. Her profound passion for Lexington and American history made her an esteemed tour guide for groups from various regions across the United States and globally. Her energetic and dedicated nature, coupled with her commitment to civic engagement, led her to serve on several town committees and as an Election Official. In recognition of her unwavering commitment and service, Patricia was honored with the prestigious Minuteman Cane Award by the town of Lexington in 2019.

Outside of her civic endeavors, Patricia was an avid traveler with trips to numerous countries around the world. Notable historic trips included her transatlantic voyage aboard the RMS Queen Mary from New York to England, followed by a return journey on the RMS Queen Elizabeth.

Patricia is survived by her brother, John A. Costello and his wife Joyce of Monroeville, PA, 2 nephews, John L. Costello and his wife Lilliam, and Michael J. Costello and his wife Martina, by 1 niece, Terri Lynn O'Connor and her husband Jason, and by many friends.

A Memorial Mass will be held Saturday Jan. 11 at St. Brigid Church, 1981 Mass. Ave. Lexington at 10am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.
