Obituary

Patricia Folts Dooley of Lexington, Massachusetts, died peacefully Wednesday February 5th at home with her son in attendance.
Born June 19,1928 in Eugene, Oregon where her father, Professor Franklin E. Folts, was teaching in preparation for his pioneering eastern return with his wife Eva Boyed, beginning a lifetime of commitment to Harvard Business School where Pat met her lifelong husband and friend Arch Richard Dooley.
Patricia graduated Brimmer and May School in 1945 and Connecticut College in 1949. Her parents' gift was sending her to Hong Kong to live with her aunt Mae Folts at the Folts family home "Altadena" overlooking the old colonial harbor. She taught math and physics at Royden House in Hong Kong and later at Winsor School in Boston. In addition, she served as senior associate of The Museum of Fine Arts; was a member of the Harvard Faculty Club, and the DeAnza Country Club in Borrego Springs, California where the family vacationed for many years.
Professor Dooley (Dick) taught at the Harvard Business School for 37 years. Summers were spent with Dick consulting with various academic ties throughout the world including Japan, the Philippines, Mexico, Latin America, and Spain. Patricia and their children traveled with him throughout the summers creating a lifetime of memories that Pat held dear.
Patricia and Dick shared two sons Arch Richard Dooley, Jr., who passed in 2011, and Christopher Folts Dooley of Stow Ma. Pat survived her sister Jane Folts Bredon of San Diego CA. Pat leaves behind her niece Pamela Gray of San Diego and nephew, Jeffrey Lewis of Tucson, AZ as well as her cousin Franklin Folts, Sr., of Marthas Vineyard, MA.
Services will be held at Pilgrim Congregational Church, 55 Coolidge Ave., Lexington, MA on February 26th, at 1:00pm.
