LANGE, Phyllis Ann Bianchi Co-founder of the House of Bianchi, once one of the largest bridal gown manufacturers in the United States, died Saturday, September 25, 2010, at Saint Patrick's Manor in Framingham. Mrs. Lange was the beloved wife of 65 years of Bernard Alexander Lange of Cambridge, Lexington, and Framingham, loving mother of Mrs. Dena Lawton of Keswick, Virginia; Dr. Barbara Hartwell of Framingham; Mrs. Silena Larkin of Arlington, and Mrs. Rita Raponi of Medford. Mrs. Lange is also survived by six grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and two brothers, Mr. Louis Bianchi of Reading and Mr. Ralph Bianchi of Glen, New Hampshire. Mrs. Lange was the daughter of the late Salvatore and Colomba Bianchi and sister of the late Guy Bianchi of Cambridge. She was a graduate of the Cambridge High and Latin School and the Jackson Von Ladau School of Fashion in Boston. Prior to founding the House of Bianchi, Mrs. Lange taught Fashion Design and Clothing Construction at the Jackson Von Ladau School of Fashion. Throughout her life, she was the recipient of many awards and, in 1995, was the first person to receive the Lifetime Achievement award from the Bridal Hall of Fame. Funeral from the Douglass Funeral Home, 51 Worthen Rd. LEXINGTON, Wednesday, September 29 at 9am followed by a Mass of Christian burial at Saint Brigid Church, Lexington at 10am.
