KIMBALL, Rachel Coolidge Died on April 4, 2012 with her family by her side. She was born in Cambridge, MA, on Feb. 21, 1911, the daughter of Julian Lowell Coolidge and Theresa Reynolds Coolidge. Mrs. Kimball and her late husband, Frederick Milton Kimball, lived in Andover for 43 years before she moved to Lexington in 1989. She is survived by four daughters, Rachel, Carolyn, Margaret, and Cynthia; eight grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. Mrs. Kimball attended Radcliffe College, and received degrees from Stanford University and Simmons School of Social work. She worked as a special education tutor, volunteer at Lawrence General Hospital, and the Boston Travelers Aid Society of Boston. Mrs. Kimball lived at Brookhaven Retirement Community in Lexington for 23 years. Services will be private, with interment at Cambridge Cemetery. Donations in her memory may be made to the Audobon Society or the Mass. Society for the Prevention of Cruely to Animals.
