Rebecca Sampson's Obituary
Rebecca (Becca) Kimberly Sampson, age13 from Wakefield, MA closed her eyes in her parents arms and opened them in the arms of Jesus on Monday morning October 22, 2018. Becca will be deeply missed by her Mama and Daddy, Kim and Glen, and her older brother and best friend Timmy, and her beloved sloth name Ramone and Ferrita the ferret.
Becca was also cherished by her Nana, her Grammie and Step-Grandfather, her Auntie and her three sweet cousins. Becca was precious in the hearts of many: her extended family from Grace Chapel, her hospital family at Dana Farber/Boston Children's Hospital, the Wakefield Police Department and the entire community of Wakefield.
Becca loved the outdoors and one of her happiest memories was of her family trip to Zion National Park in Utah, where she hiked, biked and swam to her heart's content. Her love of animals knew no bound, which prompted her desire to someday rescue sloths and live on a farm with animals of all kinds - especially goats.
Visiting hours with Becca's family will be on Thursday, October 25, 3-7 pm at Grace Chapel, 59 Worthen Road in Lexington. On Friday, October 26 there will be a service to celebrate Becca's life at 11am at Grace Chapel, followed by a light reception. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Sloth Sanctuary of Costa Rica, Zoo New England, or Grace Chapel. For Donations to Grace Chapel, please write in memo note; Benevolence Fund in memory of Rebecca Sampson.
