Riley, Reina (Gingras), aged 86, of Lexington, MA, passed away at home surrounded by family after a courageous fight with Pancreatic Cancer on July 26, 2024. Born on March 6, 1938, in Lawrence, MA, she was known for her gracious spirit and loving nature.

Reina was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 53 years, Daniel J. Riley and her parents, Rita and Robert Gingras. She leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories with her daughter, Elena Riley of Lexington, MA; son, Yuri Riley and his wife Sarah of Bristol, CT; grandchildren, Michael, Natasha, Mia, and Kira; sister-in-law, Marilyn Riley of Brighton, MA and brother-in-law, Brian Riley and his wife Margaret of Swansea, MA.

A graduate of University of Massachusetts Lowell in 1960 with a B.S.Ed and Harvard University in 1977 with a M.Ed. Reina was a proud teacher for the Weymouth Public Schools for over 20 years with a passion for early childhood education. Her intelligence and thirst for knowledge was recognized by many and she was chosen and had the honor to score MTEL for Pearson Assessments. Her compassion, kindness, laughter and incredible mentorship inspired young minds and will forever be remembered.

In her spare time, Reina enjoyed reading, watching old classic movies, listening to classical and jazz music, shopping on QVC and spending time with her grandchildren, with whom she made many fond memories.

A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
