RICHARD T. BROGLINO

Loved forever in our hearts, it is with deep sadness that we announce the death of Richard T. Broglino, 84 years young. Resident of Tyngsboro, formally of Lexington Massachusetts. Dick-Dad-Papa-Mr B, passed peacefully in his sleep on Friday January 5th, 2024 after a brief illness at the Lincoln Hospice House. Dick was a beloved and devoted husband to his wife of 60 years, Marie Broglino (Gaspar).

Born on November 3 1939, Dick grew up in Somerville Massachusetts with his parents, the late Thomas and Rose Broglino (Megna), originally of Torino and Sicily Italy, and his late brother Paul of Danvers. Dick graduated from Somerville high school, then went on to receive his Associates degree in Construction Management at Wentworth Institute in Boston. He greatly enjoyed playing basketball throughout high school and college, and was a diehard, Boston sports fan.

Dick was a hard-working and accomplished man, committed to providing for his family. He was the owner of Lexon Building, Construction Co. and a proud former resident of Lexington. Dick built and managed countless construction projects, and established dedicated partners in the industry, including special, life-long friendships. He was respected and admired by all who knew him for his generosity, his charisma for life and for being a strong-willed, man of his word.

Particularly proud of his Italian heritage, Dick shared many cultural traditions with all he knew and loved. He especially cherished the Christmas holiday season, and made every effort to share generations of family traditions with all of those he held dear.

Dick's greatest passion in life was for his family. He lived each day exemplifying, family first. He inspired us all with his love of food, wine, and travel. Especially because of the happiness it brought him to share these experiences with his children and grandchildren.

In addition to his wife Marie, Dick is survived by his daughter Donna Awada of Westford and her husband Ahmad, his son Richard T Broglino Jr and his wife Stacey of Bedford. Dick's unwavering devotion to family will be cherished by his five beloved grandchildren, Rosemarie, Nicholas, Andrew and Matthew Awada and Ricky Broglino. He is also survived by his sister-in-law Angela Broglino, wife of the late Paul Broglino, loving cousins, nieces and nephews and many other family members and friends. "Thank you for the many lives you've touched, we will love you and miss you, always".

Funeral from the Douglass Funeral Home, 51 Worthen Rd. Lexington. Thursday January 11th at 9am followed by a Mass of Christian burial at St. Brigid Church, Lexington at 10am. Visiting hours Wednesday from 4pm to 7pm. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Donations in his memory may be made to The Jimmy Fund, Dana Farber Cancer Institute. Interment Westview Cemetery, Lexington.
