MURPHY, Rita J. (Hutt) Age 93, of Woburn, MA previously of Lexington, MA died peacefully on June 5, 2013, at the Sawtelle Family Hospice House. She was the youngest daughter of the late Lewis J. and Julia (Stratton) Hutt. Born in Quincy, MA, she was the beloved wife of the late William P. Murphy, and a loving mother and grandmother. Rita is survived by two daughters and their husbands Sheila E. and Theodore Dinsmoor of Wellesley, MA and West Yarmouth, MA; and Terry M. and Julian R. Mallett of Alexandria, VA and South Yarmouth, MA; and 3 sons and their wives, William A. and Sheila Tinn Murphy of Madison, CT; Mark L. Murphy and Shelley Peterson of Concord, MA; and Robert D. and Melanie Murphy of Westlake Village, CA. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren: Alec Dinsmoor, Patrick Dinsmoor, Jackie Murphy, Kelsey Murphy, Brendon Murphy, Maya Murphy, Aryn Murphy, Henry Mallett, Mark Mallett, Courtney Murphy and her husband Anuj Bhatia, Jessica Murphy, and Emma Murphy. Rita was preceded in death by her dear siblings: Genevieve Hottleman Spanks, Lewis J. Hutt, Gorge H. Hutt, Mary Scheiderhan, Julia A. Moore, and William A.S. Hutt. Also, she is survived by her sister-in-law, Anne Hutt of Walpole, MA and by many devoted nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. Funeral from the Douglass Funeral Home, 51 Worthen Rd. LEXINGTON Saturday June 8 at 10 am followed by a Mass of Christian burial at St. Brigid Church, Lexington 11 am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.
