CROOKE, Robert William, DDS 85, of Lexington and Arlington, MA, passed away peacefully at Mount Auburn Hospital on November 1st after a long battle with lung disease. Bob was the beloved husband of 61 years to the late Eunice Davies Crooke. He is survived by his son, Gregory Crooke and wife, Janet of New York City, and son, Bradford Crooke, wife, Deborah, and grandchildren, Allyson, Kathryn, and Daniel, also of Lexington. He also leaves behind his sister, Betty Goodwin of Virginia. Born in 1925 in Cripple Creek, Colorado. He served in the United States Navy. After that he matriculated The University of Colorado and the University of Pennsylvania School of Dentistry. He practiced dentistry in Lexington for 32 years. Upon retirement, Bob and Eunice shared residences in West Palm Beach, FL and in York Beach, ME. Subsequently, they lived in Salem, NH before their recent move to the Sunrise Assisted Living Center in Arlington, MA. Mr. Crooke was a member of Hancock United Church of Christ in Lexington for many years. He was an avid golfer and a past president and active member in Rotary. Dr. Crooke also loved to travel, and made numerous and valued friends everywhere he went. Services will be private.
