Obituary

Robert Hunter "Bob" MacKerron, 87, of Bedford, MA, passed away December 8, 2017.

Bob was born in Boston, raised mostly in Newton, and graduated from

Milton High School. He served in the U.S. Air Force for four years before attending and graduating from the University of California, Berkeley. Before his retirement, he was a manufacturer's representative for Clemco Industries, traveling the east coast of the U.S. and Canada and making lifelong friends from among his clients and fellow reps. Bob was active in his church, Grace Chapel, serving in many capacities over the last 40 years as an elder, a member of the Care team, a Sunday School teacher, in the Alpha program, and on the Information Desk. He was a lifelong follower of Jesus Christ.

He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Dianne, and children Scott MacKerron and his wife Glyn, Bradley Cook and his wife Kerry, Lisa Coyne and her husband Dan, and Jeffrey Crook. Bob was the loving grandfather of grandchildren Tyler Fay, Lindsey Burns, John and Brendan Coyne, and Benjamin and Andrew Cook, and great-grandchildren Oliver, Rowan, Alexis, and Ashton. He also leaves behind dear relatives and friends. Bob was predeceased by his first wife of 37 years, Grace, and daughter Kathryn Lindstrom. He will be missed as one of the very best God had to offer.

A memorial service will be held at Grace Chapel, 59 Worthen Rd., Lexington, MA, on Monday, December 18, at 10am, with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Bob's memory to VNA Care Hospice, 100 Trade Center, Ste. G-500, Woburn, MA, 01801, or to Grace Chapel (Offices), 3 Militia Dr., Lexington, MA, 02421.
