SCANNELL, Robert A. 92, formerly of Lexington and Billerica, MA, passed away peacefully on October 17, 2018. Beloved husband of 67 years of the late Lois A. Scannell (Spidle). Loving father of Linda Hildreth, Steven Scannell and his wife Lynn, and Susan Gilbert and her husband Robert. Cherished grandfather of Kathleen Ward, Gregory Hildreth, Jennifer Hildreth, David Scannell and Kevin Scannell. Cherished great-grandfather of Aiden Hildreth, Mason Ross, Jason Scannell and Abigail Scannell. Devoted son of the late Charles and Rose Scannell. Dear brother of the late William Scannell. Thomas Scannell and Jack Scannell. Robert worked at the Raytheon Corporation as an electrical engineer, working on the Patriot Missile Project. A Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, October 23 at the Douglass Funeral Home, 51 Worthen Rd., LEXINGTON, at 11am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visitation also on Tuesday, immediately prior to the service, from 10am to 11am. Interment Westview Cemetery, Lexington.
