It is with deep, and heavy sadness that we announce the death of Robert "Bob" F. Strong, 93, who passed away on January 23 ^rd , at Hunt Community in Nashua, NH.  Bob was born in Waltham, MA and lived in Lexington MA for most of his life.  Bob graduated from Arlington High School in 1941 and served in the U.S. Army during World War II.  He is a graduate of NE Aircraft School, Northeastern and Boston Universities.  Bob's passion was flying and he obtained his pilot's license in 1985.  Bob was a mechanical engineer at MIT in Cambridge, later the Charles Stark Draper Laboratory and contributed to many Navy and NASA programs, retiring in 1988.

Bob was predeceased by his wife of 63 years, Esther "Nancy". He is survived by his son, Garen and daughter-in-law, Sandra of Woburn, MA; and his son Paul and daughter-in-law Dee of Littleton, CO.
