Roberta Franks' Obituary
Franks, Roberta A. (Peel) of Lexington, June 27, 2018. Former wife of Robert P. Franks. Mother of Valerie J. Franks and her husband Thomas Spaulding of Bedford, Sheryl K. Franks and her husband John Adams of Waltham, and Glen B. Franks and his wife Barbara of Lexington. Sister of Jean Terhune of Lexington, Katherine Ferguson of Waltham, Albert Peel of NH, and the late Esther Peel. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, Richard, Andrew, April, Bo, Nicholas, Benjamin, Alexandra, and Victoria, and by many nieces and nephews. Roberta loved life, she was a presence and a force. She attended Lasell College, holding a degree in interior design. She loved flowers and hosting people from around the world into her home. She loved her family, summers at the beach in Brant Rock Marshfield, the figure skating world, the color RED and her family gatherings. Roberta was a woman of strength, beauty and vibrance we will always remember. A funeral service will be held Friday July 6 at Grace Chapel, 59 Worthen Rd. Lexington at 10:30am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours at the Douglass Funeral Home, 51 Worthen Rd. Lexington Thursday from 4pm to 9pm. Donations may be made to "Esther M. Peel Scholarship" in memory of Roberta Franks. Send checks to CSF of Bedford, P.O. Box 585 Bedford, Ma 01730. Private interment Westview Cemetery, Lexington.
