Sandra Mirakian, 69, of Nashua, New Hampshire passed away peacefully surrounded by family on September 15, 2024 after a three month illness. She was the loving wife to James Mirakian for 43 years.

Born on November 28, 1954 in Lexington, Massachusetts, Sandy was the daughter of the late Frances and Alvan Van Alstine of Lexington, Massachusetts. Sandy graduated from Lexington High School and had a long career working for LL Bean before retirement.

She is survived by her loving husband James Mirakian and their two children, Sara Mirakian and Michael Mirakian, and their significant others Joe McGranaghan and Linda Budzynski, her sisters and their husbands Geraldine and Wayne Orloff of Tewksbury, MA, Jacqueline and Frank Ryan of Woburn, MA, and Roberta and John Uccello of Westford, MA. She also leaves behind beloved nieces and a nephew.

Sandy loved nothing more than spending time with her family and friends. She loved the ocean, kayaking and most recently golf. She enjoyed Sunday afternoon car rides, especially if it included a stop for ice cream. She was an avid Boston sports fan who cheered on the Red Sox and Patriots. Sandy also had a natural artistic talent, sketching with paper and pencil and painting with watercolors.

A funeral service will be held Friday September 20 at the Douglass Funeral Home, 51 Worthen Rd. Lexington at 10am. Visiting hours Thursday from 4pm to 7pm. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Interment Westview Cemetery, Lexington.
