Bassett, Shirley Ming (Chin) of Lexington, January 22, 2022. Beloved wife of Glen Bassett. Loving mother of Katherine May Brandeau and her husband Erich of Pasadena, CA, and Christopher Bassett and his wife Tracy of Wakefield. Devoted daughter of Ip Heung Chin of Brookline and the late Kay Lock Chin; sister of Susan Porter of Cortlandt Manor, NY, Rose Chin of Brighton, May Leung of Woburn, Jim Chin of Sunnyvale, CA, and the late Joan Chin. She is also survived by her grandson, Peter, and by many nieces and nephews. As a nationally licensed architect, Shirley founded and operated SBA Architects. Shirley's greatest passion was raising her two children. She also loved to organize activities bringing her family and friends together, including volleyball, cooking, art and music. She was loved by all who knew her and will be sorely missed.

A Funeral Service will be held Sunday January 30th at Grace Chapel, 59 Worthen Rd., Lexington at 3pm. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend and the service will be streamed on-line (contact Douglass Funeral Home for on-line service information). Visiting hours at the Douglass Funeral Home, 51 Worthen Rd., Lexington Friday from 4pm to 7pm.
