Alpert, Sidney D. - 94, October 16 following a lengthy illness, a resident of Lexington since 1952. He leaves behind his loving wife of 64 years, Freida of Lexington, His son Jeffrey of Lexington and his fiance Jane Cowperthwaite, granddaughter Janet of Lexington and her mother Kathleen, and brothers Myron and Arthur of San Diego. Sidney was a veteran of WWII, a member of the Golden Rule Masonic Lodge of Wakefield, and a graduate of Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Class of 1937. Sidney was a structural engineer employed by Stone & Webster engineering Corp. for 44 years. Burial was private.
