SISTER MARY WINIFRED WALSH SGM Died on April 19, 2010 at Lahey Clinic, Burlington, MA. She was from Norwood, MA, born February 8, 1925 of Mr. and Mrs. Bartley (Mary Shanley) Walsh. Mary became a Gray Nun, pronouncing her vows as a Gray Nun on August 15, 1962. As a Licensed Practical Nurse, her ministry was mostly in various institutions run by the Grey Nuns in Cambridge, MA, Lexington, MA, Lawrence, MA, Nashua, NH, New Brunswick, NJ. She also served the elderly as Case Manager for the Senior Home Care Services, Boston, MA and in dedicated services to the Sisters. Sr. Walsh will be remembered as a very outgoing, warm and sensitive person who loved working with and interacting with people. She was loved by her patients who knew they could depend on her her for superior care. Sr. Walsh leaves behind her dear cousin Mrs. Patricia Osborne of Norwood, MA and many dear friends. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday April 23 at Youville Place Chapel, 10 Pelham Rd. Lexington at 12:15pm. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visitation prior to the Mass 9:30-11:00 AM. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
