Stephen R. Palmer, age 61, formerly of Lexington, passed away peacefully with loving family by his side May 13, 2019. Beloved husband of Julie (Bradford) Palmer and loving father to Quinten, Clara and William.

The fourth of nine children, Stephen was born March 4, 1958 to Joseph B. and Clara (Reynolds) Palmer who survive him. Stephen was raised in Lexington and graduated in 1977 from Lexington High. Devoted brother to the late Richard Palmer and his surviving wife Carol, William Palmer, Robert Palmer and his wife Heidi, Thomas Palmer, Caroline Dade and her husband Stephen, Stephanie Hurley and her husband Michael, John Palmer and his wife Carla, and Marianne Palmer. Caring uncle to Madeline, Julia, Thomas, Emily, Anna, Stephen, Rachael, John, Sarah, Elizabeth and Joseph.

Family brought Stephen great pride, both in being a part of the fifth generation of the family business and in spending time at their beloved Sebago Lake property.

Visiting hours will be Thursday, May 16 from 4pm to 8pm at the Douglass Funeral Home, 51 Worthen Rd. Lexington. A funeral service will be held Friday, May 17 at the Church of Our Redeemer, 6 Meriam St. Lexington at 11 am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, donations in Steve's memory may be made to Dana Farber Cancer Institute 450 Brookline Ave. Boston, MA 02215.
