Pollock, Susan Harwich of Lexington MA passed away on May 5, 2020, of complications from coronavirus. Susan was born on February 4, 1938, to the late Harry and Minetta (Newman) Harwich.  She was raised mostly in Newton, where she attended Newton High before transferring to the Buckingham School, graduating in 1955.  She went on to study history at Radcliffe College, and in 1957, married Harry Pollock of North Attleboro, MA.  She and Harry moved to Lexington, where they raised three children, John, Andrew and Catherine Pollock.  Susan was a life-long learner and community volunteer.  She was the METCO coordinator for Lexington and shared her love of life and family with so many.  She made everyone around her feel better with her quiet warmth and love for others.  She spent years raising her family not only in Lexington, but also in Lincoln NH, where she and Harry owned a home for many years, skiing at Loon Mountain and enjoying summers and family holidays in the mountains.  In retirement, she and Harry traveled the world, she devoted herself to her five grandchildren, and she continued her love of learning by taking classes, reading, and attending lectures.

Susan is survived by her devoted husband Harry; her children John and his wife Resa Alboher of Van Nuys, CA; Andrew and his wife Lynn of Hudson, MA; and Catherine of Ashburnham, MA; her loving sisters M.G. Harris of NYC and Ann O'Connor of San Diego, CA; and her beloved grandchildren Matthew, Melanie, Brian, Hannah and Max.

A Celebration of Susan's life will be held at a later date, to be announced.
