Sgrosso, Susan E. , a lifelong Lexington resident, died at her home on May 1, 2025, age 97. Beloved daughter of the late Alberico Sgrosso and Josephine (Cuccinello) Sgrosso. Devoted sister of the late Quirino Sgrosso and Ann Rooney and her surviving husband James Rooney of Woburn. She is survived by her nieces Susan O'Melia of Woburn and Kathleen Schultz and her husband Scott of Tewksbury, and by great nieces Colleen, Jennifer, Julie, and Samantha.

Susan lived at her home in Lexington since 1939 when her father had built it. She loved the town of Lexington and her local parish of St. Brigid. She worked for BF Goodrich and the Massachusetts Hospital Association for many years. Susan was a very creative person. She especially enjoyed sewing and knitting and loved to make garments for her nieces and great nieces.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday May 7 at the Douglass Funeral Home, 51 Worthen Rd. Lexington at 11am. Visitation immediately prior to the service from 10a to 11am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Interment Westview Cemetery, Lexington.
