SEGALINI, Suzanne Alice (McManus), 76, of Belmont, formerly Lexington and Waltham, passed away unexpectedly on May the 17 ^th after suffering cardiac arrest following a short battle with meningitis.  She will be dearly missed by her surviving husband of 50 years, Roland; her 3 sons, Michael, Christopher and Justin; their respective wives, Allison, Michaela and Adrienne; 8 beautiful grandchildren, Giovina (15), Oliver (12), Julian (11), Leila (9), Jude (9), Jonah (7), Darla (7) and Sebastian (7); and 3 siblings, Muriel Chambers of Old Saybrook, CT, Barbara Fox of Greenfield N.H, and William McManus of Waltham, MA.

Suzanne's passion and sole focus in life was ensuring the happiness and wellbeing of her family. Nothing brought her more joy in life than spending time with her children, whether it be teaching us to ski at Burke Mountain; supporting our endeavors from the sidelines of the playing fields, tennis courts and golf course at Oakley Country Club; or holding our hands when she knew we needed her love and support. We will miss those moments in a way that can't adequately be put into words, but we carry her legacy on to the next generation by following her wonderful example. We will be forever grateful for her dedication to our lives that she so cherished and we are comforted by the knowledge that she carries with her our undying gratitude for her sacrifices.

As the one and only love of her life, her husband Roland was by her side from the age of 17 following their first date at the Waltham Public Library. Their love endured through 6 decades of joyous milestones and heartbreaking losses. Suzanne was a devoted partner and wife.  For decades, you could see her smiling face as you walked into the Offices of Segalini & Neville or hear her upbeat voice and laugh as she answered the phones.  She loved to give him a hard time about his obsession with golf and cards, and in more recent years, barely left his side.   The unconditional love and support she had for him was visible till the end.

Suzanne was also a fierce friend to many, some of whom are no longer with us, but many who are. As she did with her own family, she gave endlessly to those around her, spending hours with friends working through their own life challenges and heartache and sharing those emotional burdens for anyone who asked. Importantly, Suzanne also knew how to celebrate life with her friends and family, and she could be found most evenings with her closest confidant, Roxanne Boyle ("Roxie"), amongst many others too numerous to name, laughing and chatting over dinner until the staff turned off the lights and kindly requested their departure.

While the bright light of Suzanne's life has faded and left all of ours a little dimmer, we are all better for having had her amongst us for a beautiful 76 years.  She was taken from us too soon, but her spirit and heart will endure amongst all who were blessed to share this earth with her.

Visiting hours from The Douglass Funeral Home, 51 Worthen Rd. Lexington, MA. on Monday May 22 ^nd from 4-7 pm and A Funeral Mass Of Christian Burial will be on Tuesday May 23 ^rd 11am at St. Brigid Church in Lexington at 1981 Massachusetts Avenue.  Interment will be at Westview Cemetery in Lexington immediately following services.
