M. Theresa Tremblay (Fradette) of Salem, NH passed away peacefully at the age of 103 on Saturday, January 4, 2025 at Greystone Farm of Salem. She was born on April 24, 1921 to the late Albini and Marie Rose Fradette (Bolduc) in New Britain, CT, who had immigrated from Quebec, Canada. She was the eldest and only daughter of six children. The family lived briefly in Manchester, NH, and Lawrence, MA before settling in Lexington, MA.  Theresa graduated from Lexington High School, Class of 1940.  After WWII she met her late husband, Henry J Tremblay, and was soon married in 1948. They shared 65 wonderful years of family life, raising four children, to whom she was a loving and devoted mother.

Theresa maintained and nurtured close ties with family and friends in the US and Quebec throughout her life. She is dearly remembered for her great generosity and warm hospitality. Theresa and Henry hosted countless holiday gatherings in Lexington as well as summer weekends and vacationing family members during the summer months at Cobbetts Pond in Windham NH.  She worked tirelessly and ran the family household for decades while providing support to her husband as he devoted much time and energy to building Minute Man Oil Sales in the Lexington area. Theresa was devoted to the care of her mother and father and served as the matriarch of the Fradette family clan.  She volunteered her time generously within various schools and organizations for many years.  She was well known for carrying herself with beauty, grace, and style, which was well balanced with her warm, caring, and respectful manner. She was a trustworthy confidant and a great listener to many who needed help in their life's journey.

Theresa is survived by her children: Janine Tremblay-Johns of Mendham, NJ,  Paul Tremblay (Carol Tremblay), Denis Tremblay (Katrina Foss) and Monique Burke (Chris Burke) all of Windham, NH;  her three grandsons: Christopher, Adam, and Liam Burke, as well as many loving nieces, nephews, Canadian cousins, and sisters-in-law: Helen Fradette, Westford, MA, and Carol Fradette, Lexington, MA.

Theresa is predeceased by her five brothers: Gerard "Jerry" Fradette (Emily) of Satellite Beach, FL, Lucien "Lou" Fradette (Janet) of Concord, MA, Paul Fradette of Westford, MA, Henri Fradette (Eileen) and John Fradette, Lexington. MA and her son-in-law, George Johns of Morristown, NJ.

The Tremblay family extends its gratitude to the staff at Greystone Farm at Salem and Brookhaven Hospice for the loving and outstanding care they provided to Theresa in the final months of her life.  We could not have asked for more.

Visiting hours are on Sunday, January 12, from 2 - 5 pm at the Douglass Funeral Home, 51 Worthen Road, Lexington, MA.  A funeral mass will be held on Monday, January 13 at St. Brigid Parish, Lexington at 10:00 a.m.; all those interested may convene beforehand at Douglass Funeral Home at 9:00 a.m.  Interment at Westview Cemetery, Lexington will conclude the services. All are warmly welcome to attend.
