Obituary

Culhane, Thomas F. of Lexington, formerly of Cambridge, December 7, 2020. Beloved husband of Bonnie (Kramer) Culhane. Loving father of Michael T. Culhane and his wife Julie of Bedford, Justin P. Culhane and his wife Dawn of East Setauket, NY, and Meredith G. Culhane and her husband Leo of Bedford. Devoted brother of Gloria Merola and her late husband Bob of Hampton, NH, and the late John Culhane and his late wife Patricia, and the late Carol Ace and her surviving husband Richard of Brighton, and his brothers-in-law John Kramer and Bill Hollis. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, Kellin, Aaron, Grady, Julia, Charles, Gregory, Lucas, Anna, Ruby, and Olive, and by 2 great grandchildren, Julianna and Breanna.

Following High School Tom joined the U.S. Army, later received his Master's degree in Education and was the founder in 1972 of James F. Farr Academy in Cambridge, which has for 48 years served children with learning difficulties. Tom loved spending time with his wife of 57 years and his family. He was passionate about boating, playing basketball, and was especially happy to be part of the 6am Allstars which met at the Lexington Field House.

A Graveside Service will be held Wednesday December 9 at Westview Cemetery, 520 Bedford St in Lexington at 11am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. All guests are asked to please wear masks. Immediate family will be mourning privately afterwards at his residence in respect of Covid. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to James F. Farr Academy, Inc. at 71 Pearl Street, Cambridge, MA 02139.
