Sacco, Thomas of Lexington, age 95, Sept. 12, 2009. Husband of the late Teena (Simeone). Father of Janice Kennedy and her husband William of Lexington, Thomas Sacco and his wife Pamela of Lexington, and Bernard "Dino" Sacco of Bedford. Grandfather of Kathleen Atwood, William Kennedy, Michael Kennedy, Anthony Sacco, and Giustina Sacco. Also survived by 5 greatgrandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Tom was born in the North End and brought up in West Medford, was a World War II Veteran of the South Pacific, proudly serving in the Seabees. He was the last surviving of eleven children. Tom always had an entrepreneurial spirit, having gone deep sea diving for valuable metals, and started real estate, construction and waste disposal firms as well as operating a gas station and restaurant. He also taught dancing at Arthur Murray Studios. He loved life and people and cared greatly for his children, grandchildren and greatgrandchildren. Funeral from the Douglass Funeral Home, 51 Worthen Rd. Lexington Wednesday Sept. 16 at 9am followed by a Mass of Christian burial at St. Brigid Church, Lexington at 10am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours Tuesday 5 - 8 PM. Interment Westview Cemetery, Lexington.
