Seidl, Vera was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She left this world on November 10, 2023 at age 94 at her home in Lexington, MA. She was born to Albina and Josef Hnevsa on September 5, 1929 in Prague, Czech Republic. While training to be a chemist, she met her husband, Milos Seidl. Together, they had 1 child, Kathy.

Vera loved to cook, creating delicious Czech meals for her family. Her cherry dumplings were a favorite as well as her special, Svickova. She loved music and opera and enjoyed many concerts by her grandchildren, Peter and Sophie. Music continued to bring her much joy and comfort into her later years when she suffered from dementia.

A memorial  service will be held Sunday November 26 at the Douglass Funeral Home, 51 Worthen Rd. Lexington at 9:00am. In lieu of flowers, please donate to WGBH and Moms Demand Action.
