Hall, Viola Joan of Lexington, formerly of Newton, June 20, 2025. Beloved wife of the late Edward J. Hall
and mother of Gail Lamere and her husband Vernon of Wellesley; Edward Hall of Alexandria, VA;
William Hall and his wife Joanne of Cheshire, CT; Mary Cancelliere and her husband Joseph of
Billerica; and Jeannine Casey and her husband Jon of Ipswich.
Viola is predeceased by her brothers Umberto, Mario, and Marco Marino and her sister Rose
Poisson. She is survived by 9 grandchildren, Philip, Allison, Edward, Sarah, Christopher, Morgan,
Ryan, Natalie, and Jillian; by 10 great-grandchildren; and by many nieces and nephews.
Viola was a loving mother and grandmother and her home in Lexington was always a welcoming
place for family and friends to gather.  She especially enjoyed cooking for her large extended
family, traveling with her beloved husband, and big bold fashion and jewelry. The latter, she
collected over many years and these became her trademark, her sparkle.  And as time passed,
she found joy in passing these along to her friends and family.
Funeral from the Douglass Funeral Home, 51 Worthen Rd. Lexington, on Wednesday, June 25 at
9am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Brigid Catholic Church, Lexington, at 10am and
Interment at Newton Cemetery.  Relatives and friends welcomed.
Donations in her memory may be made to the St Jude Children's Research Hospital at 501 St. Jude
