Virginia Albanese (Bumbaca), passed July 31, 2022, unexpectedly days after happily celebrating her 80th birthday. Virginia was a resident of Bedford for 43 years where she and Giuseppe, her loving husband, of 57 years, raised their family. Virginia was a loving wife, mother, nana, and friend to all. She was a homemaker and also worked as a professional seamstress, daycare provider, retail manager, and medical administrative assistant. Virginia was well known for her loving nature, contagious laugh, and bubbly personality. She was a fabulous cook and always expressed her love through food.  She generously spent time giving sewing and cooking lessons. Virginia loved playing Mexican Train with her friends, watching a good movie, or simply being around family. She leaves behind her sons Vincent Albanese and his wife Catherine Albanese of Quincy, Frank Albanese and his wife Amy Albanese of Haverhill, and her daughter Maria Berardinelli and her husband Giacomo Berardinelli, Jr. of Burlington. She was the most loving and adored Nana of Victoria & Olivia Albanese and Siena and Giacomo Berardinelli, III. She also leaves behind her brother Rocco Bumbaca of Lexington, along with many nieces, nephews and loving friends. She is predeceased by her siblings Carmela Kinsman, Teresa Smith, Anthony, and Joseph Bumbaca.

Funeral will be held from the Douglass Funeral Home, 51 Worthen Rd., Lexington on Friday, August 5th, at 9am, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Michael's Parish, 90 Concord Road, Bedford at 10am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours at the funeral home on Thursday from 4-8pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The American Heart Association or to Alzheimer's Association.
