Obituary

TAVILLA, Virginia M. (Horne) Of Lexington, October 5, 2013. Wife of the late Ernest B. Tavilla. Mother of Stella Tavilla of Francis, Utah, Susan Tavilla of Lynnfield, Sandra Smith and her husband Steven of Medford, Sharon Tavilla of Ayer, Sheryl Tavilla of Lexington, Sonya Tavilla of Ayer, Ernest B. Tavilla Jr. of Winchester, and Stacey Higgins and her husband James of Littleton. Grandmother of Daniel, Samuel, Virginia, Jaclyn, Rachel, Madeline, Michael, and Everly. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Ginny Tavilla lived in Lexington for the past 53 years. She was a loving mother to eight and grandmother to eight. She was a good friend to many. She served at Grace Chapel in many capacities, as a volunteer, working in the nursery, serving communion, counting money, and leading womens' ministries. She was loved by many and will be sorely missed. A funeral service will be held Wednesday October 9 at Grace Chapel, 59 Worthen Rd. Lexington at 10am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours Tuesday at the Douglass Funeral Home, 51 Worthen Rd., LEXINGTON, from 3pm to 7pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in Ginny's memory may be made to World Vision, Inc., P.O. Box 9716, Federal Way, WA 98063 or to the Brain Tumor Society, 55 Chapel St. Suite 200, Newton, MA 02458. Interment Westview Cemetery, Lexington.
