Wen He, 90, of Boston and Lexington, MA, passed away peacefully on September 25, 2023, after a long illness.

He is survived by his wife, his sons and daughters, his grandchildren, and his great-grandchild.

Born into a humble family in rural Anqing, China, Wen worked to find opportunities to learn from the young age of five through junior high. At 16, he entered the workforce and devoted himself to public service. Over the course of his 40-year long career, his resilience, integrity, and independence left a lasting impression on anyone fortunate enough to meet him.

In matters of the heart and family, Wen radiated profound affection and care for his cherished wife. From youthful admiration to hallowed companionship, their enduring love deepened with each passing year. He consistently prioritized his children's upbringing and education, basking in pride at every milestone and achievement.

Even in the face of chronic illness, Wen remained remarkably optimistic. His commitment to a science-backed diet and regular exercise upheld his well-being. In his final three years, he regarded each medical treatment as a sacred duty and commitment—a testament to his profound love for life.

In his retirement, Wen blossomed with vibrancy and creativity. He composed an extensive collection of metrical verse, using poetry as a conduit to connect with friends and to convey his enduring passion for life.

Even in his twilight years, Wen's thirst for knowledge never dimmed as he began teaching himself English, Chinese Pinyin, and computer skills. His learning journey—from basic ABCs to engaging in simple conversation—was continuous and remarkable. With his wife's unwavering support, he digitized his poetic works, publishing his poetry collection, "Second Spring". A second volume is on the horizon.

Wen's life was full of richness and color. His gentle, charismatic personality leaves a precious and boundless legacy that is destined to inspire generations to come.
